This listing is for a 1979 Fender Stratocaster maple neck in fair to good condition. This neck had been drilled for a more contemporary 4-screw body, but those holes were plugged and the neck redrilled to accommodate the original 70’s style 3-screw body. There is a chip on the face of the headstock at the hole for the high “E” string tuner. There is a plugged hole between the tuner holes for the high “E” string and the “B” string. There are numerous chips in the finish along the top and bottom edges of the fretboard as well as a chip on the back side of the neck at the “skunk stripe”. The neck, I believe, must have been refretted at some point as the frets are in very good to excellent condition! The truss rod adjustment nut turns smoothly both clockwise and counterclockwise.
