This neck came off of a 1974 Stratocaster that I bought with an absolutely destroyed body. Someone had literally drilled and chiseled out a cavity for a humbucker and a Kahler tremolo bridge. The body was not savable and the electronics were all replacements so I just kept the neck planning to find a matching body and build myself a nice old Stratocaster. I never got to it and now I have other projects that are taking precedence. It played great when the guitar was all together. The truss rod functions fine and the neck is straight. Along the line somewhere one of the tuner bushings got lost, but it still has all of its original tuners, and five of its original bushings. There are some parts on the face of the headstock that are a little more dull than other parts like from cleaning or use or something like that, but it’s not very noticeable and it was hard for me to capture in the pictures. It looks like a little bit of the finish may have flaked off just above the F in Fender, that you can see in the pictures. It’s not through to the wood or anything. It’s like one layer or something like that. The ink stamp on the heel is not easy to read, but I know this neck came off of a 1974, the stamp from the guy who made it lined up with that timeline along with all of the other features like the headstock logo and patent numbers. The Fritz look like they have good life left in them, a little bit of where but played just fine. I took a picture of the first couple of Fritz so you could see the worst of it. It has a little bit of play wear on the back of it also pictured.
