Up for sale is this beautiful 1987-88 Strat Plus Maple Neck, with the rare and highly-collectible E4 serial number! In fact, most of those Custom Shop employees were the people responsible for building these PLUS necks! The condition of this neck is really excellent used, especially for being 34 years old, despite the obvious checking (flaking) on the edges that is so typical of these Maple necks. The frets are in nice shape, and the guitar it was donated from played great, with no buzzing nor any other issues. Some attention may soon need to be given to the 2nd fret. All these Strat Plus items are getting extremely rare to find on sale, because these guitars are turning “vintage” now, and these parts are increasingly on guitars that are getting snapped-up by collectors.
