Fender American Performer Telecaster Neck Rosewood 2022 (with Tuners, TUSQ nut)
Up for sale is a genuine Fender American Performer Tele Replacement Neck, maple with a rosewood fingerboard and 22 jumbo frets, built on the same U. Factory line as the necks used on Fender production guitars. It’s in excellent condition, having seen very little use since I bought it as an open box item last year. NOTE: the bottom of the heel on this neck is slightly wider than standard spec 2-3/16; please read the rest of the description and see pictures. Please see the pictures for details on the nut install, which I did just by sanding the bottom and sides of the nut since I don’t own a set of nut files; these replacement necks come from the factory with a tall, unshaped “synthetic bone” nut (not included here) that has only shallow guide string slots and isn’t playable without skilled work. Please also see the pictures for the installation holes for the string guide, which I had to drill myself. There is essentially no fret wear (see pictures), as this neck only has a few hours of playing time on it; there also aren’t any dings or noteworthy cosmetic issues I could find, apart from a tiny amount of clear coat chipping on the sides of the nut slot from my removal of the factory nut (see pictures). The truss rod works fine (I’ve made a couple small relief adjustments), and the neck played well with the medium action I prefer. Other installation processes may be required, such as fret work, fitting the neck to the neck pocket, and other instrument setup procedures. Please see the pictures for my best attempts at measurement of the 1st and 12th fret neck depths, the nut width, and the heel width at two different spots. As highlighted above, the lower portion of the heel measures slightly wider than the standard Fender pocket width of 2-3/16, yet I was still able to squeeze this neck into two different Tele bodies (an MIM Player Tele body, and a Warmoth Tele body) without any damage to neck or body. However, your experiences may differ from mine, so please keep this in mind if you plan to use this neck on a body where the pocket measures exactly 2-3/16 in width. Sorry, no neck plate or neck mounting screws included. Crafted in the same facility as our U. Made instruments, the American Performer Telecaster Neck works well with almost any playing style. Features include our comfortable “Modern C” neck profile with a satin urethane finish that give it a smooth, fast playing feel. A large,’70’s era headstock adds mass and sustain and 22 jumbo frets make it easier to achieve wide, expressive bends. This replacement neck is for a Fender or Squier® by Fender guitar.
