The serial on the neck plate is -21975, with the pretty rare ” – ” prefix, which dates to 1957. The maple neck has a good bit of natural playwear, fine checking and such – frets are original and have some grooves. Pots are all original and date to the 23rd week of 1957. The volume pots has 1 prong that’s broken, but fully functional. The knobs look original – one of the tone knob slips a bit on the shaft, so we remedied that. The solder joints look mostly original except for a ground resolder. The neck blacklights correct, decal is period correct and is missing the “er” from stratocaster as well as the “original contour body” – end of the neck is undated. The pickups and covers are original, masking tape on the wiring is original and unmolested. She has the 3 way switch. She has a fresh set up with 9/42’s and plays beautifully. 7.7 lbs on a digital scale.
