For your consideration, a beautiful 1990 Strat Plus body, in the rare and premium Natural (Ash) finish! Natural is an awesome finish for Fender! Creating this vintage finish was as simple as the name states… It’s just clear coat over a 3-piece ash body, that really makes the nice grains from traditional solid-body pop, plus the beauty and flair of a very distinctive color! Fender clear coats often yellow with age, due to oxidation primarily, adding quite a bit of variation to these Natural finishes! The result is this deep, rich, aged amber of the Ash body that really highlights the natural grain of the wood! This body and finish are in really excellent, minty condition, especially when considering this is over a 33 year-old guitar! This body looks exceptionally sweet and clean! I’ve been all over this body under two big soft lights, and I can report that other than a couple of swirls and a tiny pocket scratch there’s not a whole lot to mention. Please see pics for yourself, and as always, I have tons of pics I haven’t loaded here, so let me know anything you might want to see better, and I’ll send some along. Natural (Ash) is a great color for Fender; it is a very forgiving, and always looks sharp and clean! A parchment pick guards look awesome contrasted against this beautifully-aged Natural finish! All these Strat Plus items are getting very rare to find for sale, because these guitars are turning “vintage” now, and these parts are on guitars that are increasingly getting snapped-up by collectors. I can’t stress how rare this Natural (Ash) body is; you never see these for sale, unless attached to a very expensive guitar! American Standard and Strat Plus guitars all use the same bodies, the difference being the Plus are usually drilled inside the back plate to accommodate the Hipshot Tremsetter! The “swimming pool” route accepts many, many different configurations! They are very fast!
